The curtain falls on Seussical - one of our most challenging shows to date is an overwhelming success
With a full house almost every show our production of Seussical was well received by all who saw it - as we brought the characters of Dr. Seuss to life on stage.
The Cat in the Hat was joined by Horton, Gertrude, Mayzie La Bird, The Whos and of course the Sour Kangaroo and the Wickershams as many of Seuss' stories were brought together in Seussical: The Musical.
In a show that catered for all age the Theatre École cast again exceeded our expectations in portraying some very unusual characters - from an Elephant to a Turtle who's also a judge in a world that only Seuss could have imagined.
Our final performance culminated in a presentation of a cheque from O2: It's Your Community which has been used to purchase additional sound equipment to augment and replace our ageing stock.
Thanks to all who made this production possible; from our wonderful cast and the devoted tutors to the musicians on the night, the stage crew who worked tirelessly to build and paint the set and our technical team who worked through the night converting our church hall to a well-equipped theatre. And of course to all of you who came to watch the performance and support our cast.
The next show at Theatre École will be our Christmas Pantomime, but there's much to do before then. We look forward to seeing you in December for our traditional festive show.
